This collection features over 400 first and early printed editions of the compositions of Frederic Chopin (1810-1849).
The collection is can be searched by keyword as well as ten other categories or browsed in a variety of ways:
title; uniform titles; genres such as ballades, concertos, preludes and waltzes; or dedicatees. Visitors can
also access the collection register through the link on the right side of the page and find a list of all the
scores with a brief identification data and a link to the digital score and a bibliographic description. "Because
Chopin's works were often published concurrently in several countries with variant texts, scholars can establish
a sequence of publication by comparing a range of printings." Included is a section with information on
the digitizing of the collection. |
