Tsunamis and Earthquakes, produced by the U.S. Geographical Survey (USGS), uses animation and virtual reality to show how earthquakes generate tsunamis and provides information about past research studies.

REVIEW:
With the tragedies caused by the Asian tsunami, there has been an increased interest in this powerful phenomenon of nature. This site offers resources and information for teachers to help students understand how these occur. Teachers can gain important background knowledge about tsunami research and mitigation efforts, how sediments are transported during tsunami runup, and how the researchers decipher the geologic record of prehistoric tsunamis. Students can view animations and virtual reality models to see how earthquakes generate tsunamis.
