REVIEW:
Bio-Link offers free resources and materials for biotechnology instructors.
Information about education, organizations and companies is available
for each state in the United States. Users will also find a virtual
laboratory, library and bio-tech calendar. Educators will be particularly
interested in the Curriculum Clearinghouse. It contains curriculum
materials and instructional resources “that are specifically
targeted for courses and programs that educate biotechnology technicians
and bench scientists”. Materials are summarized and can be
downloaded with a free subscription. A section for high school teachers
provides information about biotech instruction in the high school.
The Bio-Tech News shorts include a variety of articles about genes
and the relationship to such topics as blindness, ageing, addiction,
anxiety, depression and more.
