REVIEW:
Teachers who want to engage their students in some authentic learning with an online project can find everything they need in this ready to use module. Whether you are a veteran at online projects or new to the game, these materials offer all the information and resources to make your project a success. The module was developed for use in grades 3-6 but could easily be adapted for other grade levels. There is a wealth of lesson plans that use hands-on activities and real-time investigations to develop a better understanding of how weather can be described in measurable quantities, such as temperature, wind, and precipitation. The lesson plans are divided into three groups: introductory activities, core lessons, and enrichment activities. In addition to the lesson plans, the teachers' area provides curriculum standards and resources for finding a partner class. The lesson plans are designed so that teachers can choose the ones that fit best with their curriculum, but it is suggested that the introductory lessons be taught first.
