Involve your students in the election process by enrolling them in the National Student/Parent Mock Election to be held on October 28, 2004. The site aims to "make students and parents aware of the power of their ballot by actively involving them in a full-fledged campaign and national election." The National Student/Parent Mock Election is a non-profit, non-partisan organization that is run by a national network of volunteers ranging from the League of Women Voters to educators, public officials, and newspaper-in-education coordinators. Resources at the site include information on how to participate and curriculum guides for all grade levels, as well as curricula written by schools/school districts participating in the mock election. |
