This is a great site for health and physical education teachers
to help students understand the relationship between food and physical
performance. There are four sections: Don't
Let Your Diet Let You Down, The
Pregame Meal Planner, Keeping
Energy Levels Up and Keeping
Fluid Levels Up. Each of the sections gives information that
will help students to understand how participating in sports can
increase their food energy needs and the dangers of not practicing
good nutrition. Included are recommended training table diets, questions
asked by other young athletes, tips for eating right, a planner
for making wise food choices and more.
