http://www.studentnewsnet.com/

CONTENT:
Student News Net is a news site created especially for students that includes world news, U.S. news, and sports.
AESTHETICS:
The site is designed as a typical news site. Lots of photos and color make it appealing to the young people. News articles are available in a printer friendly version.
ORGANIZATION:
Main areas of the site can be accessed from the top navigation bar and from the left side menu. There are also many embedded links in the text of the main page.
REVIEW:
This is a great resource for students and teachers to use in the classroom. The news stories are kept current and are written on a level that is appropriate for students. The major areas of the site are: World News, U.S. News, Sports, and Pencil Reports. As a special feature, the right side of the page is devoted to the current Iraqi conflict, with some excellent photos. Additionally, there is a monthly calendar of events, this day in history, pencil blues (a glossary of terms used in the articles), and a weekly news quiz. An entire section is devoted to careers, and users can explore articles about careers from teacher to oceanographer to heart surgeon, and many more.
