Grade Level: PreK-2, 3-5, 6-8, 9-12, Advanced, Professional

http://www.biologycorner.com/

CONTENT:
The Biology Corner was created as a resource for biology and science teachers. The site includes lesson plans, internet-based lessons, and links to science WebQuests and clipart for science.
AESTHETICS:
This mostly text-based site has light-colored backgrounds and dark-blue print making it easily read.
ORGANIZATION:
Navigating the website is simple. Buttons linking to each section are available at the top of each page. Links designed for the author's classes are located on the left side navigation area. A search feature is available.
REVIEW:
The Biology Corner offers a wealth of materials for science teachers! The Lesson Plan page offers numerous self-explanatory worksheets on topics including anatomy, evolution, cell biology, and genetics. There are also textbook specific worksheets designed to be used with the Holt, Rinehart, and Winston text - "Modern Biology". Internet Lessons are designed to guide students through sites on the web. These are similar to the WebQuest links, but the Internet lessons are intended to be completed during a single class period, while the WebQuests take several days to complete. Both of these pages offer annotated links to activities covering varied science topics. Examples include a virtual frog dissection, a bacteria identification virtual lab, The Love Canal Debate WebQuest, and SimEarth. The site also offers links to other science resources around the web. The author has also included a section of biological images to use in teachers' own creations. Because students in the author's classes use this site, she has not included answer keys for any of the worksheets.
