http://www.learninginhand.com

CONTENT:
This site was created by fifth grade teacher Tony Vincent of Willowdale Elementary School in Omaha, Nebraska. It explores the many uses of handheld technology in the classroom.
AESTHETICS:
The site has a pleasing layout, with wide margins and large, readable text.
ORGANIZATION:
A left-side menu links users to the different areas of the site, and all pages have a link back to the homepage.
REVIEW:
As the use of handheld technology becomes more prevalent in education, teachers are searching for ways to incorporate handhelds into schoolwork. This teacher is ahead of the crowd, to say the least, and shares his knowledge of what works through his fifth grade website. Teachers will find the latest news and research on the use of handheld technology in the classroom, information about the hardware and applications that are available in all subject areas, with links to download sites, persuasive essays written by students for and against using handhelds, and videos of students describing their favorite activities. On the practical side of using the handhelds in the classroom, teachers will appreciate the classroom management tips, listings of possible classroom activities, and the student-produced video tutorials for using the technology.
