Brief Description
Students choose a country to research, use the Internet to find information about that country, and present their findings in the form of a written report and class discussion.
Objectives
Students will complete a productive Web search, learn about proper etiquette in other countries, and increase their awareness of cultural diversity.

Lesson Plan
- Students will plan a business trip to a destination outside the United States. The trip must include three airplane flights, two car rentals, and two different hotel stays.
- Students use the Internet to research different Web sites for information about the trip. The information should pertain to local customs, languages, and other cultural information that would be beneficial to a person traveling to that country.
- Students present their findings in the form of a two-page, double-spaced, written report.
- Students share their findings during a class discussion period.
Activity Time
Three one-hour class periods.
Assessment
Students are graded according to their success in meeting the requirements of planning three flights, two car rentals, and two hotel stays and obtaining information about a country and its culture and customs. Students must present their findings in the form of a written report as well as share the information during class discussion.
