Overview: Students work in teams to research information about the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., the monument commonly known as "The Wall." Assuming such roles as Editor, Reporter, Graphic Artist, and Feature Writer, teams use the results of their investigations to develop a magazine about the memorial. Each team's magazine must contain a variety of features including a description of The Wall, interviews with at least two people who have visited the memorial, a short biography of a local person whose name is inscribed on the monument, and an editorial on the importance of The Wall.
