Site URL: www.liverfoundation.org/education
Content: This site offers online materials and printables on liver disease.
Design: The site features a simple and easy-to-navigate design. Two lefthand dropdown menus offer options on information centers and state and regional liver-disease news and programs. Users will find resources on various liver diseases, and the timely state and regional content is arranged like a news site. Explore links to an information library and online videos, both featured in two boxes that dominate the center of the page.
Review: The American Liver Foundation’s education resources page is perfect for health and science teachers looking to cover the topic of liver disease. This site features a wealth of great downloads, from infographics and brochures to videos and other materials. Many downloads are even available in several languages. One minor negative is that the site doesn’t offer many graphics and diagrams for visual learners.
Bottom Line: You may have to look elsewhere if you need cool graphics to accompany lessons, but this is still the place to go for the most comprehensive information on liver disease.
