OtterBox Ready For New iPad

Nobody is sure what Apple has in store for the next generation iPad, but the folks at OtterBox are prepared with a protective case for the to-be-released tablet.

OtterBox has added a new page to its Web site dedicated to the anticipated iPad 3.

“Are you at the edge of your seat in anticipation of the upcoming launch of the next iPad?” the page reads. “We are too. And just like you, we don’t know when that will be, what features it will have or what it will even be called. All we know is that when it’s launched, whether it’s an iPad 2S, iPad 3 or iPad Unicorn, we’ll have an OtterBox iPad case to protect it.”

In addition to marketing materials and email signup forms, OtterBox also provides a link to an in-house blog tracking the latest rumors surrounding the next big announcement from Cupertino. All of the iOS devices are updated on roughly a 12-month cycle, making next month the likely timeframe for an iPad announcement. OtterBox appears to be updating its rumor mill once a week, with the latest buzz leading up to the unveiling.

“Excitement is building and the rumors mills are in full effect. iPad 3 is on its way, but when?” the site reads. “If you haven’t seen any of the chatter, everyone is guessing that March will be the month for launch.”

OtterBox is known for making uniquely tough cases for Apple products, and experts agree that future cases will live up to the company’s sterling reputation.
