Education World® Celebrates Noah Webster's Birthday


On October 16 wordsmiths across the United States will celebrate the 240th anniversary of the birth of Noah Webster, considered by many to be the father of the American dictionary. What a perfect time to celebrate words! So this week Education World offers several "wordy" stories!



We invite readers to take an online tour of some great dictionary and word game sites in this week's CURRICULUM story.

A LESSON PLANNING story challenges the notion that "ABC books are for babies." Indeed, creative teachers can adapt the ABC book concept to any topic, at any grade! Need proof?
