Schools Can Encourage Parent Involvement Via Tech

Educators can use social media sites such as Twitter, Facebook and Instagram to enhance communication with the school community. 

So said Amber Teamann, an elementary school principal, in a blog post on ConnectedPrincipals.com. Teamann said "good communication can prevent misperceptions and mismatched expectations, encourage parent involvement and foster a team approach to caring for your students."

Teamann suggested using hashtags, video Web resources and more.
