Finding top-tier educators can be difficult, time-consuming and expensive.
Joel Sackett, writing for District Administration, noted that administrators must do more with less, which means they need to expedite and optimize the hiring process whenever possible.
He offered five tips to ensure that districts hire the very best teachers without wasting precious time and resources.
For example, he suggested: "Don’t use an oversimplified narrowing methodology—like sorting through a pile of résumés by simply skimming for certain criteria—to expedite your hiring process. More data is better. It may seem counterintuitive, but more information can actually lead to a faster hiring process."
