The Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade is a yearly event that kicks off the holiday season, the parade get it's start in 1924. Macy's store employees put to gether a parade that featured clowns, floats bands and live animals. One of the parades bigest attractions is it's humongous character balloons. In 1927, Felix the Cat was the first balloon to appear. This year, more than 2.5 million people will attend the parade and 44 million will watch on tv.
