Abraham Lincoln was born on February 12, 1809 a book was never far from Lincoln's side--even when he worked on a farm, split rails for fences, and run a store. Lincolns law partner ones said of him that he was "a little engine that new no rest. At the start of President Lincoln's second term, he said he would "bind up the nations wounds". Just a few month's later--on April 14, 1865--he was killed.
