Every spring, Washington, D.C, waits for it’s famous cherry trees to bloom. To show there friend ship with the United States, the Japanese gave a gift of more then 3,000 beautiful tree. They grow around the Tidal Basin, a special body of water in our nations capital. Each year, people come to see the pretty blossem colors of pink and white. Visitors also celabrate with tours a parade, and other events.
