Brief Description

This interactive, inquiry-based instructional unit teaches students about adhesives in the context of day-to-day activities.
 

Objectives

Students will:

  • Understand the concepts related to polymers as the building blocks for adhesives and glues.
  • Identify examples of adhesives used in the world around them.
  • Read informational text about a relevant topic to understand events, procedures, ideas or concepts in a historical context.
  • Demonstrate their understanding of these scientific concepts in oral presentations or dramatic performances to the class.
  • Work in teams to solve a problem.
  • Observe and record.
