DIRECTIONS: It's your turn to be the scientist! Imagine that some vacationers stumbled across some turtles while scuba diving and walking along the beach. Because the animals are endangered, it is important for you to identify them and keep a record of what the visitors have seen.
Luckily, you will have more than the vacationers' eyewitness accounts to go by -- they took pictures! Look at the pictures of the unidentified turtles. Then use the Identification Keys found on the Internet at http://telematics.ex.ac.uk/euroturtle/ident/ident.htm to identify each pictured turtle species!
Remember: Focus on the pictures themselves, not any related captions. Real scientists don't have captions to help them!
