President Jefferson's Cipher

DIRECTIONS: November 7, 1805, was a landmark day in the Lewis and Clark Expedition. On that day, Meriwether Lewis penned an entry in his journal. We have turned some of Lewis’s words into two coded messages that appear below. Use President Jefferson’s Cipher to translate Lewis’s journal entries from code to text. Write the decoded entries on the lines below.
