Lesson Plan

  • Organize students into small groups and have each group read the Top Ten Reasons for Going Into Space.
  • Ask students in each group to explore other print and/or online resources to find one fact that proves or disproves each reason listed.
  • Invite a volunteer from each group to report the findings to the class.
  • Encourage students to compile a list titled Top Ten Reasons for Learning About Space.'

Assessment

Evaluate students on their ability to accurately prove or disprove the validity of the online statements.
