Lesson Plan

Have students explore Out of the Crucible of War, then ask them to read The Billy Bishop Story or read the story aloud. Discuss the successes and failures in Billy's life and ask students why they think Billy did or did not deserve to be a hero. Then ask students to imagine that they are old men and women looking back on their lives. Have students write autobiographies telling what they think their lives will have been like.
