Materials neededcomputers with Internet access or student-researched library materials about the Declaration of Independence; teacher-made work sheets or paper and pens or pencils; PowerPoint program (optional)
Divide the class into small groups. Have students use library or online (see suggestions below) resources to create time lines about events that led up to the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
Have students present their completed time lines to the class.
