Presidents Day:
Men on Money

Share

  • Show students the faces of presidents on U.S. coins and bills.
  • Give each student (or pair of students) a coin. Have them toss the coin ten times and record the number of times a president's head comes up.
  • Provide each student or pair of students with a small pile of pennies (Lincoln) and quarters (Washington). In lieu of actual coins, pictures of coins will do. Have students sort, count, and graph the pile of coins.
