Mr. Ivan, The Principal Poet
My teacher kept me after class
And gave me quite a fear.
She said if I did not improve
I'd be retained this year!
I'm guessing that my teacher
Has also been retained.
She's been teaching kids for years,
But in sixth grade she's remained.
