This winter, make Monday (Moan-day) or Friday more special with food.
Invite each department or grade-level team to select a country and prepare food dishes representative of its culture. Set up tables with the flags of the nations represented and authentic decorations. Staff members visit the various tables to enjoy an assortment of ethnic foods.

Provide staff members with hot chocolate on a cold morning -- and don't forget the mini-marshmallows!
CHILI POTLUCK DAYS
On a designated day, have all participants bring in their favorite version of chili. If you have a large staff, have different groups of people bring a chili contribution each Monday or Friday for a month. Have sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, and hot sauce available as condiments. Make sure the recipes are written down and duplicated for everyone. You could compile them into your own chili cookbook and share it with other staff members.
GRIN AND SHARE IT
"Thanks for the harmonica you gave me for Christmas," said little Tommy to his uncle the first time he saw him after the holidays. "It's the best present I ever got."
"That's great," said his uncle. "Do you know how to play it?"
"Oh, no, I don't play it," Tommy said. "My mom gives me a dollar a day not to play it during the day, and my father gives me five dollars a week not to play it at night."
