After competing through local and state competitions VICA members are eligible to participate in National Skill Championships, known as the Skills USA Championships. These contests allow the best of the best to demonstrate their skills.

These vigorous competitions put competitors through strenuous conditions in order to determine who the very best is. Even this web site was developed by a competitor for the Technical Computer Applications Skills Championships.

For competitors there exists information in addition to contest rules and specifications. Rick Hellman's article on what it takes to win is a good place to start.

As a member of VICA one must know much about the organization. Due to VICA's concentration on leadership and preparing young people for the world of work students are given a pledge, a creed, and even a symbol for them to know and understand. This allows them to be motivated and have pride in their organization. Each student is also required to know his/her Rights as a member of VICA.
